PR Introductions at The Difference Engine

I went yesterday to discuss PR with the nine, international tech startup teams currently being sponsored through an intense start-up incubator programme based in, of all places, Middlesbrough – The Difference Engine.

The teams represent a bright bunch of clever coders with propositions from consumer facing websites through to sophisticated technology platforms.

They live and work together in close confines, and are being bombarded with advice experts from Google through to successful local business people (including, of course, jet-setting international freelance PR consultants!)

I went with an open mind. I’ve come back blown away by the talent concentrated in one small space. – there wasn’t one of the companies I spoke with that I wouldn’t chew off my arm to work with!

The programme is lead by Jon Bradford and the next round is later this year. Definitely one to watch.
