Vodafone 360: the answer to my ills?

A few short days ago I posted, in sheer frustration, about my Blackberry Storm. Through the power of Twitter, I have been offered a phone swap by someone who lives locally, who is in the same profession as me, and who even has children who sgare the same hobbies at the same sports venue as mine.

But I am given further hope. Now, this video is nowhere near as much fun as the truly awful Microsoft ones, but it is succint and professional:

I look at the three main reasons I selected a Blackberry and the promised service seems to tick the boxes:
- email on the move
- easy access to social networking tools
- back up contacts from email

If this is as good as it promises to be, I can download music easily as well.
I’ve never been too fussed about Vodafone Live, so I’m hoping this will deliver more. For buried in the text of the press release is this:

the ability to create different contact groups across social media networks, allowing customers to organise their contacts the way they want and manage how they share different information with different groups

A kind of Posterous for the mobile? Here’s hoping!
