It wasn’t me, gov!

Someone I didn’t know sent me an IM, so I checked them out on line before accepting.

It then occurred to me to do the same with my name. although being called Claire Thompson is akin to being called John Smith.

In the past having such an ordinary name has created a stir – like getting someone else’s maternity notes on at least one occassion with each child. And ending up in a taxi meant for someone else at an airport. But now, it appears, if you key in Claire Thompson and PR up comes a sado-masochistic fiction author.

Really – it’s not me! I’d write it far better than that!
